“Working with coloured lights and the complementary shadows thrown by them on a subject. Used colour theatre equipment - Display lighting used - which revolved, changing colour every minute. These are quick sketches done under changing lights eg Usually if throw orange light on something, get blue shadow. One didn’t copy slavishly but made a free sketch as best one could in the dark”
